Main Info
Tour Pokhara and Chitwan. With stunning landscapes, adventure sports, and lodging and food options galore, Pokhara checks all the right boxes. Lakeside Pokhara is the best spot to refresh your batteries, whether you have returned from a three-week trek or undergone a difficult bus ride.
The scene is a chilled-out version of the Thamel neighborhood of Kathmandu, stretching along a calm lake’s shore with bobbing paddle boats. You will enjoy a clear view of the snow-capped mountains from the lake, and probably even from your hotel room, only 20 or so kilometers away. Pokhara has far more to it than its laid-back elegance. It also boasts a thriving adventure-sports industry: it is arguably the finest location on the globe for paragliding and is lined by rivers of white water. There is an interesting museum devoted to a world-famous soldier called Gurkha. And finally, it is the gateway to and beyond the world-famous treks in and across the range of Annapurna.
In the southwestern portion of Nepal, Chitwan is situated. It is Nepal’s fourth-largest district, occupying an area of 2,238 km2, and is renowned for its National Park. Chitwan National Park, which covers an area of 932 km2, was established in 1973 as the first national park in Nepal. Jungle events, such as elephant riding, jungle walking, canoeing, elephant bathing, and jeep safari, were witnessed by most of the visitors. Chitwan National Park is so wonderful to meet rare animals of the world such as one horn rhino, gharial, leopard, tiger of Bengal, a python of Indian rock, and other species. The park was mostly set up to save the One Horned Rhinoceros, the Royal Tiger of Bengal, and the Gharial Crocodile. With natural scenery, various types of species, and animals, you can explore the whole area. Chitwan National Park has also designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1984.
