Rara Lake is the biggest freshwater lake in the Nepalese Himalayas and lies at an elevation of 2,990 m (9,810 ft). It is one of the attractive factors of Rara National Park, located in Jumla and Mugu Districts. In September 2007, it was declared a Ramsar site, covering 1,583 ha (6.11 sq mi) including the surrounding wetland.

Your journey begins by departing from domestic terminal of Tribhuvan International Airport
on a flight to Nepalgunj from where you will get on a connecting flight to Talcha Airport
(Rara Lake). Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and explore the place on your own for a
while if you have spare time. Enjoy your dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.

On the second day,you will have a full day to explore the majestic beauty of Rara lake. At
2,990 meters above sea level, it is also the deepest lake in Nepal.

On the third day, after completing your amazing trip, you will depart from Talcha Airport for
Nepalgunj from where you will get on a connecting flight back to Kathmandu.
